kreaB - Tour de Création.
Corporate Design for the Association of the Creative Industries Basel.
Basel enjoys a high reputation among those interested in culture. The city is an attractive location for actors in all creative fields. The local creative industry, however, lacks cross-industry networking, visibility and appreciation. In January 2016, therefore, a new bottom-up association for Basel’s creative industries was founded. The new association kreaB serves as a mouthpiece to creative people, connects industries and participants and wants to make their achievements visible in Basel.

The creative industry is separated into 13 submarkets whose interests are represented in solidarity. This thought is elegantly continued in the kreaB logotype. The large B, which also stands for Basel, is deduced from the figures 1 and 3.
Tour de Création
SUAN creates the key visual and media for the annual Tour de Création on a voluntary basis. The concept of the visual language of Tour de Création allows for playing with the interfaces between individual sections of the creative industry. Objects that correlate with the studios (submarkets) which participate in the respective edition of Tour de Création are merged, though clearly distinguished by contrasting colors. Every year, Tour de Création determines a small map excerpt in Basel, where local creatives can open their doors and present their atelier or office at the event. To draw attention to the scattered studios, cargo bikes carrying for example musicians, small trees or large balloons, moved back and forth between them. The first Tour de Création 2016 was a great success and also a strong marketing tool for kreaB.
Salon des Créateurs
Another kreaB event is the smaller Salon des Créateurs. Hosted by a member studio of kreaB each time, it not only opens its doors, but also arranges for a program. A good opportunity for exchange and networking among and with the creative people of the Basel region. The design for Salon des Créateurs wants to attract attention to the event with few flyers and differs slightly visually from Tour de Création.
