Graphic design.
We live visual communication.
Looks are not everything. But in graphic design they are the top priority. Across all disciplines of visual communication, we create clear identities and translate them into distinguishable designs. No matter whether it is a logo, a flyer, a book or an illustration.
We make graphic design out of enthusiasm. Here we can act out our creativity. We visualize, experiment and reflect. Within a clear scope, we sophisticatedly combine messages and content with font, image, colors and shapes. SUAN lives the culture of Swiss typography. We work with design grids and asymmetrical, factual representations. Whether poster or website, we create a successful appearance for every channel.
Switzerland and Germany are known for their distinct traditions in visual communication. SUAN combines both styles and uses them for an articulate design. On one hand with proven analogue means, on the other hand with the latest technologies and digital tools online. Because the world is in an accelerated state of change due to increasing digitalization. Cultural institutions and companies in particular have recognized this. The demands on ever new, changing key visuals, web designs or social media apps are therefore high.
For SUAN, design also means research. Our mission: to detect trends before they have reached the target group’s minds. Our work has already received several international awards for our graphic design projects. Amongst others the Red Dot Design Award, the iF Design Award and the Award of the Type Directors Club New York.
In order to challenge ourselves again and again, we take the time every year to freely design posters on the subject of identity in our agency in Basel. In doing so, we frequently remind ourselves what our work actually means: Graphic design translates language, thoughts and larger, even complex contexts in an understandable and concise way in typography, image, color and material.
