MS Evolutie is awarded!

The MS Evolutie is a vintage cargo ship for art, theater and culture. Originally from Rotterdam, the decommissioned freighter is usually anchored in Basel and hosts various events. Suan gave the ship both a classic and a new look by renewing the lettering on the bow and turning it into a logo. The main design elements of the corporate design play with a strict grid and the high-contrast traffic signs of inland navigation. The individual shapes or abstract traffic signs can be decoupled from the design language as modular graphics, which is ideal for small-scale applications and social media. Event photography can be integrated into the grid. In this way, images can be used to create flyers and postcards with plenty of white space from the strict grid.

The corporate design for the MS Evolutie has won this year's iF DESIGN AWARD, making it one of the winners of the world-renowned design label. The CD was awarded in the Communication discipline, Company Branding category. The iF DESIGN AWARD is presented once a year by the world's oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design GmbH.

The project impressed the 131-member, independent, international jury of experts. The number of applicants was large: the jurors had to award the coveted seal of quality from almost 11,000 submissions from 66 countries.
